Their proposal, Advisors Group for Alliance for the Future of Kosova has justified with increased transparency and participation of social groups in this matter, which is not only the right of political parties represented in Parliament, because for naming roads would be of interest to be involved as many interest groups in order to include all generations and personalities that have contributed to Junik and the country.
Despite the insistence of the group of advisors to the Alliance and support of the Mayor, Mr. Agron Kuçi, representatives of political parties in the Assembly; LDK, PDK and VV did not approve this request, insisting that the Commission be composed solely by members of the political parties represented in Parliament.
By majority of votes, requirement of the Advisors Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosova failed to pass, so the Municipal Commission for naming of roads and squares will be composed only by the members of political parties represented in Parliament.
Despite this decision, the Municipal Leadership thinks that the Assembly unfairly has eliminated from participation in this Commission social categories, who will contribute to the work of Commission in determining the names of roads, squares and urban neighborhoods in the Municipality of Junik, more so when it is known that Junik is a settlement that has provided a valuable contribution in the past as well as in the recent events that took place in our country.
At the meeting of the Assembly of Junik Municipality held on 29.04.2014, where discussed was the decision for the formation of the Municipal Commission for naming of streets, squares and urban neighborhoods in the Municipality of Junik, advisors group of Alliance for the Future of Kosova has proposed that in the Municipal Commission for denomination be represent also Associations emerged from the War and the Civil Society.
